The Association of Professional Sleep Consultants

When I trained to become a Sleep Consultant, it was really important to me that I had accredited training, ongoing mentorship and I was part of something bigger than just my little business! This led me to being part of Little Dreams Consulting. Their evidence based training and support has enabled me to help hundreds of families whether this is through 1:1 support plans, advice via social media, or at a baby class.

I am really excited to share that I am now also a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants (APSC) and am now part of a trusted community of professionals dedicated to helping people, from babies to adults, sleep better.

What is the APSC?

The APSC is an international group of qualified sleep consultants who specialize in helping people improve their sleep. Whether it’s newborns, toddlers, or adults, members of the APSC use evidence-based practices to guide families toward better sleep routines, healthier habits, and overall improved well-being.

Their main goal is to raise the standards of sleep consulting and make sure every family or individual seeking support gets the best care possible. They provide ongoing education and training to their members, so consultants I am are always up-to-date with the latest in sleep science and strategies.

Why is this important?

If you or your family are struggling with sleep, choosing a sleep consultant who is part of the APSC comes with a lot of benefits:

  • Trusted Expertise: By becoming a member of the APSC, I have met strict professional standards. This means you know you’re getting someone who is trained, certified, and dedicated to helping you in the safest and most effective way.
  • Access to the Latest Tools: Sleep science is always evolving, and APSC members are constantly learning new strategies. Whether it’s how to help your baby sleep through the night or how to improve your own sleep quality, I have access to cutting-edge resources to support you.
  • A Supportive, Ethical Approach: The APSC holds its members to high ethical standards. When you work with an APSC member, you can trust that the advice is safe, respectful, and centered around your family’s unique needs.
  • A Network of Experts: APSC members are part of a global network of sleep consultants who share knowledge, tips, and experiences.

How can you be part of the APSC?

To be a member, you need to either have over 500 hours of consulting experience or complete an APSC approved training programme. I am really fortunate to have both as Little Dreams Consulting has become the UK’s first, and currently only, APSC-approved sleep consultancy program.
