Before we talk about Christmas gift ideas, the holiday season is a magical time filled with joy, excitement, and, often, disrupted routines. Amid the festive chaos, finding the right gifts for children can be both fun and rewarding. If you’re a parent or caregiver aiming to support your child’s sleep, consider gifting items that encourage restful nights. Below are some ideas for sleep-friendly gift ideas for children of various ages.
Before I move onto the ages groups – books have to be my number one Christmas gift idea for Children. They can never be too young to be introduced to the world of books! These are also a great part of the bedtime routine.
Babies
- I always promote swaddle suits and sleeping bags for your little one. Maybe ask for the next size up, or a lower tog for the summer months. Check out the wide range at White’s Farm Baby Barn.
- If they use white noise, and you don’t already have a portable one – this is a great option.
- Snoozeshade – these are great to help with naps in the daytime when you are out and about!
Toddlers/pre school
- Again the Snoozeshade whilst they are napping in the buggy.
- Toys for quiet play before bed, try some puzzles or craft activities, for example threading beads.
- From around the age of two, you could introduce something that helps them know it is mornings time. A gro Clock or Zeepy clock are great examples.
Primary Aged children
- A clock for their room can be great to help them know when it is wake up time.
- Older children might enjoy some journaling before bed, especially if they are a bit anxious. The Happy Self Journal is a great example.
- We all love new bedding…especially if they can choose it themselves!
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and all the best for 2025!
